Our Curriculum
Our curriculum combines the Ogun State Curriculum, the British Creative and Core Curriculum, American nature and place-based learning, and a play-based methodology that treats play as a core part of how children learn. Each framework brings something specific to the table, and together they ensure that every pupil at ECS receives an education that is structured, broad, and genuinely suited to how young children develop.
The British Creative and Core Curriculum brings in literacy, numeracy, arts, design, and personal development, building skills that go beyond rote learning and encourage children to think, create, and express themselves.
American nature and place-based learning connect children to their immediate environment, using the world around them as a starting point for understanding science, geography, and community.
The play-based methodology runs through everything. At ECS, play is not separate from learning. It is how our pupils explore ideas, build social skills, develop language, and make sense of the world.
