In this event which was about dealing with the phenomenon of fake-news, I gave a presentation about the "Dutch Municipality Election 2018 in Social Media" project that I was involved as a data scientist. In this presentation, I introduced our approach without going into the methodological details and discussed our results.

Digital Democracy: Threats and (Design) Opportunities - Seminar on 29 November - Delft Design for Values InstituteOn 29 November 2018 the Brookings Institute and Delft University of Technology are together organizing a seminar that explores the weakness and dangers the digital environment poses to democracy, and investigates how the digital environment might be proactively redesigned in order to positively enhance the quality democracy. Registration is still possible until 27 November.

In the first Brookings in The Hague event which was about threats and opportunities of the digital environment to democracy, I gave a presentation about the project of "Dutch Municipality Election 2018 in Social Media" which I was involved as a data scientist. In this presentation, I provided a summary of what we did, how we did it, and what was the outcome of this project.
