21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) were designed to expand learning opportunities and support partnerships between schools and community resources. Community learning centers operate during non-school hours, are designed to help students meet state and local student academic achievement standards in core academic subjects, and offer them a variety of activities that can complement their regular academic programs.

EBRPSS' sites include:  Capitol Elementary, Capitol Middle, and Magnolia Woods Elementary

In addressing its primary goal of ensuring that academic enrichment opportunities are available to students who are not meeting state standards in core academic areas, 21st CCLC’s funding is used to provide a broad array of services, such as youth development activities; tutorial services; entrepreneurial education programs; drug and violence prevention programs; counseling programs; art, music, and recreation programs; technology education programs; and character education programs that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students. In addition, programs offer opportunities for literacy and related educational development to families of participating students.
