Elizabeth has more than 17 years of experience in the business intelligence and management of information gained from various industries or Sectors. She is a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Scientist Architect in the Office of the Rector & Vice-Chancellor, Institutional Planning Department at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). She is currently responsible for BI development activities and reporting solutions which includes the building of data culture and evidence-based decision making. She works part-time for the University of South Africa (UNISA) on a fixed-term contract as a Quantitative (Numeracy) Literacy Facilitator and Tutor for numerical modules and have been in this role for more than 11 years. In this role she facilitate students learning experience and support them through their academic transition in the open distance e-learning environment. She is part of the new cohort of Siyaphumelela Student Success Coaches. In this role she assist universities to build institutional capacity to collect and analyze student data and integrate it with institutional research, information technology systems, academic development, planning and academic divisions within their institutions to increase student success. Her passion and interests include the use of structured and unstructured data to improve business process, business reputation, return on investment, business optimisation, students learning experiences and student success. Her research interest is in Student Access & Success, Student Transition, Instructional pedagogies, Learning Experience, Educational Data Mining, Learning style, Blended learning, Business Intelligence, Statistics, and Data mining.
She have been tutoring and facilitating skill sessions at UNISA since from 2009. Currently tutoring and facilitating students in a group or one-one consultation in the following modules:

She offers statistical software consultation with respect to how to use SAS, SPSS, STATISTICA, R, JMP, MATLAB, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, Python, and STATA. Some of the consultation is in helping students on how to use Scientific Calculators to solve Statistical problems and how to use Financial Calculator to solve financials and Statistical problems or questions.
