Amitabh Miscellaneous Interests

POETRY

I have a very serious interest in poetry, and have been writing poetry in urdu and english, and very occasionally farsi, since I was a teenager.

My favourite urdu/farsi poet is Allama Shaikh Mohammad Iqbal, and I am also very fond of the poetry of Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib, Mirza Abdul Qadir Bedil, Ameer Khusro and Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. A few links will eventually be given below if you want to check out more about these people.

This is a video of me reciting urdu, english and persian poems at the 2019 Mushaira of the Nawisht Literary Society, of which I am a founding member.
