SEMESTER: SPRING 2024
To investigate how climate change has affected bird migration patterns over the past decades, focusing on changes in migration timing, routes, and population trends. This project will aim to identify correlations between climate variables and observed changes in bird behavior, contributing to conservation efforts and climate change research.
A comprehensive analysis of how climate change has influenced bird migration patterns over recent decades (span of 30 years), with a focus on changes in migration timing, routes, and population trends. The project will identify correlations between climate variables and observed shifts in bird behavior, based on information acquired from ebird, NOAA Global Historical Climate Network NOAA (GHCCN), and MODIS land data.
Based on our projected deliverables, we hope to aim for completion of all necessary requirements per Milestone. We look forward to gaining the skills and collaborating within the group environment to ensure that we will have a smooth implementation of the analysis. Along the way, we will utilize the tools recommended to develop our visualizations to highlight the key findings and summary.
