The Silver Comet Trail official start- Mavell Road / Nickajack Elementary Trailhead
is the primary gateway to one of Georgia's most iconic multi-use paths. This 61.5-mile paved trail begins in Smyrna and extends all the way to the Alabama state line, following a former rail line through quiet woods and over impressive trestle bridges.
Scenic & Accessible: The trail is completely paved and relatively flat, making it ideal for long-distance cycling, running, or casual walking.
Convenient Amenities: The official start features a large parking area, restrooms, and water fountains to help you prep for your trip.
Continuous Route: Once you reach the state line, it connects directly to Alabama's Chief Ladiga Trail for another 33 miles of riding.
