Erasmus+

No âmbito do Programa Erasmus +, a Escola Básica dos 2.º e 3.º Ciclos do Estreito de Câmara de Lobos levou, de 16 a 20 de maio, a Uherské Hradiště, na República Checa, dois docentes e quatro alunas do 8.º ano para participarem no primeiro intercâmbio escolar inserido no projeto intitulado “Protect Earth, Save Life!”. Os restantes parceiros deste projeto são: Základná škola, ČSA 22, Prešov (Eslováquia), Ies Maria Sarmiento (Espanha) Istituto Omnicomprensivo San Marcello Pistoiese (Itália) e Základní škola a Materská skola, Uherské Hradiště (República Checa).

Pela primeira vez, um grupo de alunos participante no projeto Erasmus+ ficou hospedado em famílias de acolhimento, para vivenciar mais de perto a cultura e as tradições, por forma a compará-las com as nossas. Durante a semana, foram realizadas diversas atividades, que ajudaram na integração dos alunos de todos os países, sempre com o foco na ecologia e proteção ambiental.

O primeiro dia de atividades teve início com o acolhimento dos participantes, pela diretora da escola, numa cerimónia que contou com atuações de dança de alguns alunos que frequentam o jardim de infância, na escola. De seguida, os alunos dos vários países parceiros efetuaram uma apresentação das suas escolas e, realizou-se uma visita guiada pelas instalações da instituição organizadora. Ainda neste dia, mas na parte da tarde, fomos recebidos na Câmara Municipal de Uherské Hradiště, pelo seu vice-presidente e efetuamos uma visita guiada pelo centro da cidade.

No segundo dia, a manhã foi passada no Kovozoo, um interessante conceito de Jardim Zoológico, em que os animais são construídos a partir da reutilização do metal, que é enviado para a reciclagem. Depois do almoço, em que degustamos alguns dos pratos típicos da região, fomos ver a Basílica de Velehrad e continuamos a nossa visita para o Living Water Modrá, onde vimos esturjões com quatro bigodes, que são os melhores para fazer caviar.

O terceiro dia foi o mais calmo, passamos o dia no Rochus, que consiste numa área natural e histórico-cultural, onde aprendemos um pouco sobre a história do lugar, vimos construções a representar como se vivia em diferentes épocas, na região da Morávia, onde se localiza Uherské Hradiště. Durante o dia, foram realizadas oficinas de trabalhos manuais, em arame e cerâmica e, ao almoço provamos o “Gulaš” e à sobremesa um bolo chamado de “rozcuchanou nevěstu” (noiva desgrenhada). Por fim, realizamos uma caminhada até à capela Rochus.

No quarto dia, fomos até ao Zoo de Zlín, a maior cidade perto de Uherské Hradiště. Imediatamente após a chegada, todos os alunos foram divididos em equipas internacionais (os grupos foram sorteados durante a viagem de autocarro) e realizaram tarefas ao longo da manhã. Todas as equipas tinham um elemento de cada nacionalidade, mas isso não impediu ninguém de aproveitar o dia ao máximo. Algumas das tarefas também se concentraram em como o Zoológico de Zlín aborda a proteção ambiental. Na parte da tarde, visitamos a cidade de Zlín e aproveitamos para comprar lembranças.

No último dia, as atividades foram realizadas na escola. Mais uma vez o foco foi o tema da reciclagem. Durante toda a manhã criamos, a partir de materiais recicláveis (latas), o logótipo do nosso projeto. Além do logótipo, os alunos também fizeram verdadeiras obras de arte, com latas e com tinta spray. Depois do almoço, na sala de informática, relembramos toda a semana, através da visualização de algumas fotografias e jogamos um Kahoot, com questões sobre toda a mobilidade e sobre a proteção ambiental. Por fim, a semana foi encerrada pela diretora Marie Leitgebová, com a entrega dos certificados a alunos e professores.

Esta mobilidade possibilitou a aquisição e melhoria de um leque alargado de competências, nomeadamente ao nível das habilidades de linguagem, proteção ambiental, o contato com uma realidade cultural completamente diferente da nossa, nomeadamente ao nível dos hábitos alimentares e a vivência de experiências espetaculares que tanto as alunas como os professores dificilmente vão esquecer.

Within the scope of the Erasmus + Programme, the Escola Básica dos 2º e 3º Ciclos do Estreito de Câmara de Lobos took, from 16th to 20th May, to Uherské Hradiště, in the Czech Republic, two teachers and four 8th grade students to participate in the first school exchange inserted in the project entitled "Protect Earth, Save Life! The other partners in this project are: Základná škola, ČSA 22, Prešov (Slovakia), Ies Maria Sarmiento (Spain) Istituto Omnicomprensivo San Marcello Pistoiese (Italy) and Základní škola a Materská skola, Uherské Hradiště (Czech Republic).

For the first time, a group of students participating in the Erasmus+ project stayed with host families to experience their culture and traditions more closely in order to compare them with our own. During the week, several activities were carried out, which helped the students’ integration, from all countries, always focusing on ecology and environmental protection.

The first day of activities began with the welcoming of the participants by the school headmaster, in a ceremony that included dance performances by some students who attend kindergarten at the host school. Then, the students from the various partner countries made a presentation of their school and then the organising institution lead, the group, on a guided tour of their facilities. Also on the same day, but in the afternoon, we were welcomed at the Uherské Hradiště Town Hall by its vice-president and then we went on a guided tour through the town centre.

On the second day, the morning was spent at Kovozoo, an interesting Zoo concept, where the animals are built from reused metal, which is sent for recycling. For lunch, we tasted some of the typical dishes of the region. After we went to visit the Velehrad Basilica and continued our visit to the Living Water Modrá, where we saw sturgeons with four whiskers, which are the best for producing caviar.

The third day was the quietest one, we spent the day at Rochus, located in the Moravian region, where Uherské Hradiště is located. It’s a place which consists of a natural and historical-cultural area, where we have learned a little about the history of the place, saw buildings representing how people used to live in different times. During the day, workshops were held on handicrafts, in wire and ceramics, and for lunch we tasted "Gulaš" and for dessert a cake called "rozcuchanou nevěstu" (dishevelled bride). Finally, we took a hike to the Rochus chapel.

On the fourth day, we went to the Zlín Zoo, located in the largest town near Uherské Hradiště. Immediately upon our arrival, all students were divided into international teams (the groups were drawn during the bus trip) and performed tasks throughout the morning. All teams had one member from each nationality, but that didn't stop anyone from making the most of the day. Some of the tasks were focused on how Zlín Zoo approaches environmental protection. In the afternoon, we visited the town of Zlín and took the opportunity to buy some souvenirs.

On the last day, the activities were held at school. Once again the focus was on the topic of recycling. During the whole morning we created the logo of our project using recyclable materials (cans). Besides the logo, the students also made real works of art, with cans and spray paint. After lunch, in the computer room, we recalled the whole week by seeing some photos and played a Kahoot, with questions on the mobility and the environmental protection. Finally, the week ended with the speech of the headmistress Marie Leitgebová, who, also, hand in the certificates to students and teachers.

This mobility enabled the acquisition and improvement of a wide range of competences, namely in terms of language skills, environmental protection, contact with a cultural reality completely different from ours, in particular in terms of eating habits, and living of spectacular experiences that both students and teachers will hardly forget.
