Background to the module:

This module equips learners with necessary knowledge and skills to produce good academic writings. Learners learn how to nurture ideas, use words and phrases, write precise, and synthesisise information in order to develop a coherent academic writing. They are also trained to organise and apply ideas and information as well as to substantiate their writing with valid and relevant facts.

At the end of the module, learners should be able to produce effective and persuasive academic writings. Learners will be able to:

1. produce coherent academic writing.

2. describe, summarize, combine and comment on relevant information and ideas.

3. build critical and analytical abilities in writing.

4. select and make appropriate and integrity citations from reference sources.
