Welcome to EatPreAI. This Privacy Policy explains how EatPreAI collects, accesses, uses, stores, shares, and deletes user information, including health and fitness information accessed through Android Health Connect.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and only request permissions that are necessary to provide the features available within EatPreAI.
Account Data: Basic profile information associated with Google One-Tap login or Guest Login.
Health & Fitness Data: Information such as height, weight, BMI, activity levels, exercise metrics, and other health or fitness information you choose to provide.
Health Connect Data: If you choose to connect EatPreAI with Android Health Connect and grant the requested permissions, EatPreAI may access specific health and fitness data required for the features you use, such as step count and activity/exercise metrics. EatPreAI does not access Health Connect data unless you grant the corresponding permission.
Image Data: Food photos captured, uploaded, or saved within the app for food recognition and nutritional analysis.
Team Sync Data: Information you choose to synchronize after joining or creating a Team, such as meal logs, activity goal progress, and selected health or fitness summaries.
We use your information for the following purposes:
Nutritional Analysis: To recognize food and provide calorie, macronutrient, and micronutrient information.
Activity and Progress Tracking: To display and analyze information such as daily steps, activity levels, BMI, and progress toward your goals.
Health Connect Features: Health Connect data is used to provide user-facing health, fitness, and nutrition features, including displaying activity progress, evaluating activity levels, and improving personalized nutrition and calorie recommendations.
Personalized Insights: To provide personalized nutrition, activity, and wellness suggestions based on the information you choose to provide.
Team Collaboration: To synchronize information that you explicitly choose to share with members of a Team.
EatPreAI may request the following permissions:
Camera / Photos: Used to capture or select food images for food recognition and meal logging.
Health Connect Permissions: Used to access health and fitness information that you explicitly authorize, such as step count and activity/exercise data. These permissions are requested only when required to provide related health, fitness, nutrition, or activity-tracking features.
Network Access: Used for cloud-based AI processing, account synchronization, and other online functionality.
You may choose not to grant Health Connect permissions. You may also revoke previously granted Health Connect permissions at any time through Health Connect or your Android system settings.
EatPreAI requests access to Health Connect data only for features that provide a direct health, fitness, nutrition, or wellness benefit to the user.
We follow these principles when handling Health Connect data:
We only request access to Health Connect data types necessary for the features provided by EatPreAI.
Health Connect data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features within EatPreAI.
We do not sell Health Connect data.
We do not use Health Connect data for advertising or personalized advertising.
We do not transfer Health Connect data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
We do not use Health Connect data for creditworthiness, lending, insurance eligibility, or employment-related decisions.
Health and fitness data will not be publicly displayed or socially shared without the user's explicit consent.
Users can manage or revoke EatPreAI's Health Connect permissions through Health Connect or Android system settings at any time.
Revoking a Health Connect permission prevents EatPreAI from accessing that data through Health Connect in the future.
Health Connect data and other sensitive information handled by EatPreAI are protected using appropriate technical and organizational security measures. Data transmitted between the app and our servers is protected using encrypted network connections.
Team Visibility: When using Team features, only information that you choose to synchronize may be made visible to members of that Team. Health or fitness information is not publicly shared without your explicit consent. You may stop synchronization or leave a Team through the app.
Third Parties: We do not sell personal or Health Connect data. We do not provide Health Connect data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or other third parties for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.
Certain service providers may process information only when necessary to provide EatPreAI's core functionality and subject to applicable privacy and security requirements.
You can manage Health Connect permissions at any time through Health Connect or your Android system settings.
To delete your EatPreAI account and associated data stored by EatPreAI, use:
Settings → Delete Account
After account deletion, personal information and synchronized records associated with your EatPreAI account will be deleted in accordance with applicable legal and technical requirements.
Revoking Health Connect permissions stops future access to the corresponding Health Connect data. Data previously stored by EatPreAI may be deleted using the account deletion function described above.
EatPreAI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal or Health Connect data from children under the age of 13.
