Eating Through London with Fun: A Guide to the City’s Fun Dining Experiences

When it comes to fine dining experiences, London has got you covered with more than a handful of 4 to 5 star restaurants. However, that does not mean to say that the city has not a lot to offer for diners who want something simple, exciting, or unique. Here are some places to go if all you want is good food and a good time.

Sway

This restaurant in Covent Garden is easily accessible from the serviced apartments in Central London. Sway offers classic British comfort food as well as a selection of drinks at the bar. Since it is located at the heart of London’s theatre district, Sway is the perfect place to head to after watching any of the best theatrical productions in the city. It opens at 5 PM.

Inamo

Located in Covent Garden and Soho, this restaurant caters specifically to the tech-savvy with its digital menu interface. Here, you can place your orders via tablets and watch the kitchen prepare your food through the digital tabletop.

Accompanying all that high-tech wizardry is a carefully crafted menu filled with some dishes from the Pan-Asian cuisine styles. Also, there is a cocktail bar located in the basement with a selection of drinks you can share with your friends. It opens at 5 PM on weekdays, and at noon on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Rascals

In Shoreditch lies a restaurant that delivers on the fun as much as food. Rascals feature all-you-can-eat buffets and a selection of bottomless drinks as well as drag queens, comedians, and interactive games for diners to take part in.

Rascals can be accessed via the Liverpool Street subway station or the Old Street Station and Moorgate Station. The price for admission during any of its themed nights is at £40.00 per person. Costs for food and drinks are not included. It opens at 6 PM on Thursdays and 6:30 PM on Fridays. It’s open from 12 to 5 PM and 6:30 to midnight on Saturdays, and closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

Comfort food like pizza is prepared on site (and on sight) while the bar constantly churns out craft beer, ale, and other spirits. Aside from food and drinks, Tank and Paddle also offers various board games for you and your mates to play with.

Levant

Located in Marylebone High Street near your holiday apartments in London, this restaurant is known for offering an authentic Lebanese dining experience. Aside from the authenticity of the food, the portions are also generous and designed to make you share your orders with your friends.

And if that is not enough, the Levant also features a myriad of entertainers such as fire eaters, belly dancers, snake charmers, and local DJs every night. To get to the Levant, you can take the Tube which will stop at either Bond Street, Regent’s Park, and Baker Street stations. It’s open from 12 PM to 12 AM on Mondays to Tuesdays and stays open until 2:30 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
