Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at forkfrontier@gmail.com.
What personal information do we process? When you use our Services, we process information you provide directly (name, email, health goals, meal preferences), transaction tokens from in-app purchases, content you share publicly, and location details used to map local grocery stores.
Do we process payment details directly? No. All online payments are handled securely through third-party platforms (Apple Pay and Google Pay). We do not store your credit card or bank account numbers.
Do we use third-party integrations? Yes. We connect to YouTube to display recipe or instructional videos, and we embed Google Maps/Apple Maps API features to help you locate nearby grocery stores.
What community features do we have? We offer public or semi-public Community Posts where you can interact with other users. Any information you post there becomes public.
In what situations do we share data? We share data with essential backend infrastructure vendors, mapping APIs to provide location services, and payment gateways. We do not sell your personal data.
Profile Data: We collect names, email addresses, password options, and account preferences.
Personalization & Health Data: We collect your specific health and fitness goals, dietary restrictions, meal preferences, and household budget settings to map out your custom meal prep.
Payment & Transaction Data: If you buy a subscription or premium plan, we collect data necessary to process your payment. This includes transaction confirmations and subscription status. All actual payment processing is safely funneled through Apple Pay and/or Google Pay.
Geolocation & Maps Data: To allow you to find nearby grocery stores for budget-friendly ingredients, our app requests permission to access your device's precise location. We use mapping API technologies (such as the Google Maps API) to show you these stores. You can turn off location access at any time through your mobile device's built-in settings.
Community Interactions: Any comments, meal photos, recipes, or text you voluntarily submit to our app's Community Post feed.
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, including:
Personalizing the App: Creating unique meal schedules, recipes, and dietary planning tailored to your budget and strength goals.
Location-Based Services: Calculating and showing you physical grocery store routes and locations near you.
Managing Transactions: Confirming and tracking digital sales made via Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Facilitating Social Connections: Managing the public community forum and preventing toxic content or spam.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with third parties in the following scenarios:
Payment Processors: We share transaction data securely with Apple and Google to handle billing transactions.
Map & Location Providers: When you search for grocery stores, your location parameters may be transmitted to Google Maps or Apple Maps to render the map view.
Legal & Safety Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect our users from immediate harm or fraud.
Our Services feature integrations with external platforms:
YouTube API Services: Our app connects to YouTube to display relevant food, nutrition, and cooking videos. By interacting with this content, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube may collect viewing data via these embedded players.
Eat For It Website Links: The mobile app links directly back to our official website. Once you leave the app to navigate our website, traditional web cookies and web analytics may apply to analyze site traffic.
We are not responsible for the data safety of external websites or platforms not controlled by Eat For It. We advise reviewing their respective privacy guidelines.
Our app features a public or semi-public Community Post board. If you choose to post messages, recipes, comments, or pictures, please be aware that this information is completely visible to other users of the application. If you share personal details or images in these shared areas, that data can be read, collected, and used by others. We reserve the right to remove user content that violates our terms of service.
Our mobile application uses internal automated tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) components to process your nutritional goals, taste preferences, and budget. This data is used solely to generate custom meal logs, prep routines, and ingredient lists. We do not sell your profile data or use it to train third-party public AI models without your authorization.
If you choose to register or log in to our app using a social media account or third-party credential (such as Google or Apple Sign-In), we use the information provided by that service (specifically your name and verified email address) solely to establish and secure your profile.
Our servers may be located outside of your home country or state. By using Eat For It, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by our infrastructure partners in the United States and other global regions. We ensure standard contractual protections are in place to keep your data secure.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When your account is deleted, or after a long period of user inactivity, your data will be purged from our active databases.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected without proper parental consent, we will promptly deactivate the account and delete the associated data.
Depending on your geographical location, you have dedicated rights over your personal data. These typically include the right to:
Request access to and a copy of your personal data.
Request rectification (correction) of missing or incorrect profile info.
Request deletion of your user profile data.
Withdraw your consent at any time (e.g., stopping location permissions).
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference. Because no uniform online standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, our application does not currently alter its collection practices upon detecting a browser-based DNT flag.
