Easy Shopping respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is stored when you use the Easy Shopping mobile application.
When you create an Easy Shopping account, information required to operate your account may be processed, including:
Your email address
Your account username or display name
Authentication credentials
A unique account identifier
Technical information used for authentication and security, such as IP address and device or browser information
Easy Shopping uses Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google, to manage user authentication.
Passwords are handled through Firebase Authentication and are not stored by Easy Shopping as readable passwords.
Easy Shopping may store shopping-related information using Firebase services so that lists can be accessed across devices and shared with other users.
This may include:
Shopping lists
Product names
Product quantities
Purchased-item status
Shopping history where applicable
Shared-list membership
User identifiers needed to determine who owns or can access a shared list
When you choose to share a shopping list, the information contained in that list may be accessible to the users with whom you share it.
Information is used to:
Create and manage your Easy Shopping account
Authenticate you securely
Store and synchronise your shopping lists
Allow shopping lists to be shared with other users
Maintain access permissions for shared lists
Provide and maintain the functionality of the application
Protect the service against misuse and unauthorised access
Easy Shopping uses Firebase services provided by Google.
Depending on the Firebase services used, Google may process technical and account-related information necessary to provide authentication, database, security and cloud functionality.
Firebase services use encryption in transit, and supported Firebase services including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore also encrypt stored data at rest.
Easy Shopping does not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed by Google through Firebase where necessary to provide the application's authentication, database and cloud services.
Shopping-list information is shared with another Easy Shopping user only when you choose to share a list with that user or otherwise grant them access.
Account and cloud-stored information is retained for as long as your Easy Shopping account is active or for as long as it is necessary to provide the application's services.
Some technical information processed by Firebase may be retained according to Google's Firebase data-retention practices.
You can request deletion of your Easy Shopping account and associated personal data.
Easy Shopping will provide an account deletion option within the application.
Deleting an account will remove the user's authentication account and associated application data that is no longer required.
Data contained within a shopping list shared with other users may require special handling where another user also owns or requires access to that shared information.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect your information.
Easy Shopping uses Firebase Authentication and Firebase security controls to restrict access to account and shopping-list information.
However, no electronic storage or communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Easy Shopping is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children contrary to applicable law.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application, its services or applicable requirements change.
Any updated version will be published at this Privacy Policy address with a revised effective date.
