I grew up 100 miles from New Orleans in a small Mississippi city that very much celebrated Mardi Gras. As an adult raising a family in North Mississippi, I could not find a good king cake and hated paying money to ship from New Orleans on my February birthday. So, I got in the kitchen.
This isn't a fancy king cake. It is rolled out in my family kitchen. Made with love and prayers for a joyful Carnival Season!
