Bridgewater canal Timperley

Part of the Bridgewater Canal towpath runs through Timperley and provides resident and visitors to Timperley with a built in and scenic walking, cycling, running and dogwalking path. The towpath is always scenic no matter what the weather with plenty of wildlife and many architectural vestiges of its once famous Victorian heritage.

Frank Sidebottom Statue

This life-sized bronze statue of the comedian Frank Sidebottom has become a true Timperley landmark since it was erected in 2013. It is centrally placed at the village crossroads and provides a very popular site for group photographs.

Fairywell wood

Trafford council has made it a policy to protect and manage this, and other, woodlands in the area; recognising them as valuable recreational and educational resources, which provide irreplaceable wildlife habitats. A path can be followed alongside Fairywell Brook and, although a little muddy and overgrown initially, improves as the wood opens up heading Southwards. Via the woodland trust

Newton Park

Newton Park in Timperley is a small park situated close to Park Road Timperley, it is maintained not only by Trafford Council but it also has a very active Friends of Newton Park volunteer group.

There are open spaces and an area of formal gardens within the park
