here is my current xml. i followed this guide from the vrchat devs. seems something happened aug 26th and the old methods dont work. i inserted my motherboards information like the guide says and still get detected.

Just posting that I ran into EAC issues after booting up a game today after a while. EAC would start the game but the game would throw an exception on launch preventing me from playing. It was really frustrating. The error was acting like I needed to validate the file integrity but it was just EAC failing under the hood. Found this forum thankfully and followed the instructions on the VRChat link above (THANKS!) And it works. Basically I just had to add the system info (minus the uuid field) and the vendor id field in the guide. Everything started working for me afterwards.

after walking away in frustration i came back, disabled hyperv again, double checked my xml with the vrchat changes, booted up the vm, and now it works all of a sudden. dont know what changed cause i did nothing different in the xml. maybe somethign to do with me disabling hyperv and the vm restarting caused the changes to apply? not sure but its working now.

i couldn't get any of this to work for Elden Ring. Easy anti cheat still picks it up. "Launch Error, Cannot run under Virtual Machine". I also tried the vchat link. That completely made my VM unrun able. wouldn't even boot up.

maybe its something in my xml. Im hoping that someone knows. I paid for this game and now I cant play it. We are not cheating. I just have a powerful pc and want to use it all. who puts a 32 core processor on just on pc.

So while searching everywhere to fix this error, I found something that fixes the error. The game for some reason thinks your PC is a VM if the name of your computer name starts with a "DESKTOP" within it's name. For example, DESKTOP-123ABC. To fix it, go to System -> Advanced settings -> Computer Name. Click "Change" and change the "DESKTOP" to something else, like Jamal-PC, etc, and then restart your computer and it will be fixed. If you have something different than "DESKTOP" header, then disable Hyper-V by going to "Programs and Features" and" Turn on and off Windows Features". Hope that helps. If only I can post this on the forums, but keeps getting cooldown.

Were you able to fix your system stutters? After I followed this guide and got rust working, I switched over to my main vm and that one (completely separate XML + vdisk) is stuttering like crazy. Its also not booting consistently!

Hiding the KVM hypervisor may cause some specific software or drivers that rely on the hypervisor to be incompatible, and there may be a small overhead associated with the process of hiding the hypervisor. So I'd avoid using this:

Well, after playing a few days with easy anti cheat on, suddenly I had to go to the grocery store and when I came back and logged on again, bam! easy anti cheat can not recognize game client (aces.exe) and WT refuses to start.

Please help-

I have an issue with easy anti cheat '- launcher not started error. I tried to repair it, reinstalled the game, but still have an issue. It started happening after latest update (never happened before that).

If you already did some of their trouble shooting tips like using system file checker you could go the step past that and use DISM How to use DISM command tool to repair Windows 10 image | Windows Central Which checks for corruption of the disk image that sfc checks against and tries to repair it if it finds any.

@EA_Atic Are there any workarounds for this issue? I keep getting kicked out with that anti cheat error message. I used to play every night, and now I'm always getting kicked out no matter what type of map I'm on. I've tried everything. I don't know how many more times I can reinstall anti cheat, steam, or the game itself. I guess one option would be to reformat this computer and reinstall everything. I just worry it won't resolve anything, and that the error message will come back.

Apex Legends and The Finals drop from 240fps to 10fps for good 60 seconds then it goes back to 240fps. New easyanticheat update for Apex Legends and The Finals cause this. Older games wont have this problem because they dont update their easyanticheat drivers. . This only happens on ASUS motherboards x670e and their thunderbolt 4 controller.

I believe the issue is that when you run the game "Easy Anti-Cheat" scans your system looking for cheats triggering some activity on the Thunderbolt controller. After exactly 5 minutes of the scan ending (when the game is properly launched) the TBT controller will turn off and that's when you got the stutter.

I came to conclusion its probably related to EAC because all other games work just fine with their anticheats. Usually kernel anti cheat cause this type of problems (they scan your entire system)I also had simillar thing in past with PUBG zakynthos anticheat when i had g29 plugged in but it was on x299 platform.

The day after the North American finals of the Apex Legends Global Series was postponed because of a mid-match hack against two players, Easy Anti-Cheat has issued a statement saying "there is no RCE vulnerability" in its software that was exploited to carry out the attack.

The first hack, against Noyan "Genburten" Ozkose of DarkZero, took place during the third match of the day: He was suddenly able to see every other player on the map, even through walls, and was ultimately forced to drop out of the match, although his teammates managed to claim second place even though they were a man down. The second hack occurred in the next match: Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen of TSM suddenly found himself saddled with an aimbot. That match was ultimately abandoned, and the North American finals were postponed "due to the competitive integrity of this series being compromised."

Shortly afterward, the Anti-Cheat Police Department, a volunteer group that specializes in "gathering intelligence on cheats to detect and disrupt cheating vendors," issued a statement saying that an RCE (remote code execution) was being abused in the game, and that it was unclear "whether it comes from the game or the actual anti-cheat (software)."

Remote code execution exploits enable attackers to run software on remote machines, and they are bad news: An RCE was responsible for the suspension of PC PvP servers for Dark Souls games in 2022. A similar vulnerability was discovered in GTA Online in 2023.

In this case, as Anti-Cheat PD put it, "the RCE is being abused to inject cheats into streamers machines, which means they have the capabilities to do whatever, like installing ransomware software locking up your entire PC."

As the title indicates, I'm having issues launching the game. I'm running an Apple M3 Max and the game installed perfectly. The bootup screen comes up with the game's splash art and loads until it fails to load the anti-cheat module. I'm running the latest version of CrossOver for Mac as well.

"Many multiplayer games use anti-cheat technology to attempt to detect changes in a game's code that could give players unfair advantages. These anti-cheat technologies work at a very low-level of the Windows operating system and are incompatible with CrossOver's translation layer, preventing the game from running."

"As a US-based company we follow the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) which prohibits any bypassing of technical protection measures, meaning that we cannot legally work around any type of copy protection or anti-cheat technology incorporated into a game. For these reasons we do not support or attempt to fix issues with anti-cheat technology. If a game's anti-cheat prevents use with CrossOver, the only way it can work is if the game developer makes changes on their end."

However when 23.5 was released Meredith Johnson wrote "Denuvo games are now playable, and this release also includes support for GStreamer for multimedia decoding. Note that Elden Ring and Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon default to launching with Easy Anti-Cheat disabled." 152ee80cbc
