Note Advocating School Music Programs:
It is expected that Eastside Youth Band members participate in their school programs. There would have to be a compelling reason not to, such as a schedule conflict that would otherwise result in the inability to graduate from school. We believe band is the one of the most important classes in school and is a strong motivator to go to school. Loyalty and leadership are critical values that are built in school band programs. College completion rates are highest among students who are committed to their school programs. Keep playing and be a bright star wherever you are, making a positive difference for everyone around you.
