What is Competition?

FBLA Competition recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. FBLA competitive events also prepare students for successful careers in business by providing opportunities to apply classroom concepts in a workforce-simulated competitive environment.

EVERYONE is REQUIRED to participate in competition.

Types of Competiton

Prejudged

Content is prejudged before the conference
The presentation of the content is done during the conference
Can be individual, team, or chapter depending on the event.
Typically your more creative events.

Objective Testing

Competitors compete individually
Exams take place before the conference
Exams based on U.S. frameworks (Study American laws, terms, programs, etc.)
NO penalty for incorrect answers
100 questions in 60 minutes
Percentage correct determines event place

Performance

Content is judged in person at the conference
Will present in front of a panel of judges
Includes events such as public speaking
