East High Scholarship Advisor 

Hi! My name is Sarah May (she/her) and I am so excited to be your Scholarship Advisor. I am an artist, poet, and organizer, and I am a second-gen Salvadoreña Americana from an immigrant mother from El Salvador and an Irish-American Father. I am a First-Gen graduate from the University of Utah with a BFA in Photography and Digital Imaging, and an MA from Westminster University in Community Leadership, with an emphasis in art and culture. I am a proud plant-mama, tía to my adorable niece, lover and maker of pupusas and crafts, and spending time in Utah's magnificent landscapes. I make a type of photography called cyanotypes, photos made with the sun, and I had a poetry book published last year.
