Under the initiative of Dr. Theresa Bouley, the Office of Equity and Diversity is supporting JEDI efforts to award small grants (up to $500 per award) for projects that directly support an anti-racist campus climate. All full-time and part-time Eastern faculty are invited to apply.

Grant awarded to co-sponsor University Hour guest Adriane Jefferson, Director of Cultural Affairs at City of New Haven. Ms. Jefferson's presentation on March 29, 2023 centered on Cultural Equity.
Grant awarded to sponsor workshop by Owen Taylor from True Love Seeds, a farm-based seed company offering culturally important and open pollinated vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. The workshop on March 20, 2023 connected Eastern BIPOC students with seeds related to their diverse cultural backgrounds.
Grant awarded to support two town hall meetings with Eastern BIPOC students during the 2022-2023 academic year (co-facilitated with Sara Madera).
Grant awarded for an event in September 2022 celebrating a special edition of Here, an international poetry journal that features poetry focusing on the theme of racial equity and social justice.
