JEE Main Exam is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. It is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in various colleges and universities across the country. The exam is held twice a year, in January and April.
Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
They must have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12th or equivalent examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in their respective board.
Candidates who are currently in their class 12th year can also apply.
The exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech. and Paper 2 for B.Arch./B.Planning.
Paper 1 is a computer-based test (CBT) and consists of 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section has 30 questions and carries a maximum of 100 marks.
Paper 2 is also a CBT and consists of three sections: Mathematics (Part I), Aptitude Test (Part II), and Drawing Test (Part III). Part I consists of 30 MCQs and carries a maximum of 100 marks. Part II consists of 50 MCQs and carries a maximum of 200 marks. Part III is a drawing test and carries a maximum of 100 marks.
For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks.
For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.):
