As humans emit more greenhouse gases, such as by driving cars, cutting down large amounts of forest, or manufacturing certain products, they act as a blanket for the Earth's atmosphere. While this is generally a natural process (and, under normal amounts, this process keeps us warm), now, what with the industrial and technological eras, we are over-producing and over-consuming things. The "blanket" of greenhouse gases trap the sun and its heat, making it warmer.
However, as the UN describes, "the Earth is a system, where everything is connected," so things will want to 'balance out', meaning that warmth in one area of the world can make another part of the world colder.
These extreme changes in climate can have significant impacts on nature everywhere. They can cause natural disasters. Animals can have a harder time living (people, too!), and resources will deplete if they are over-used/over-extracted.
My channel's initial premise was to clean a natural area for every subscriber, especially when starting out. Now, I would like to focus more on spreading the word on ways everyone can help, as well as ways that nature is amazing. While I will still be cleaning natural areas like before, it now isn't as practical/realistic to do one for every subscriber; however, by subscribing, you can support my content and help to spread the message of climate change before the damage is irreversible.
Climate change is the change in weather and climate patterns, which today is mainly caused by humans.
When people burn fossil fuels, such as coal or oil, greenhouse gases are emitted. Today, those are mostly carbon dioxide and methane gas.
These greenhouse gases act like a blanket to trap the sun's heat (as mentioned above), which can cause many adverse effects (including, but not limited to: extreme weather, temperature changes, drought, floods, and other natural disasters, and biodiversity loss). The good news is, we can act. While one individual can't stop it, we can make a difference together, especially by voting for leaders who care, making your voice heard/spreading the word, and thinking before purchasing.
Remember, every little action counts. All that matters it to try your best! :)
