Marketing, Communication, & Fundraising Responsibilities

• In consultation with the CEO and other EIL staff, drive the development and delivery of ECI’s Fundraising Plan, including identifying corporate sponsorship and government and philanthropic grant funding opportunities and sources, and a process to target those opportunities.
• In consultation with the CEO and other EIL staff, build and manage relationships with funders, including trusts, foundations, major donors and sponsors.
• Schedule and coordinate the preparation of grant submissions and sponsorship proposals, and acquittals and reports to funders.
• Identify and implement alternative sources of funding, including advertising, crowdfunding and donations.
• In consultation with EIL colleagues and partners, identify current and planned EIL programs, projects and activities that require funding support and identify the best funding options e.g. sponsorship, government or philanthropic grants or crowdsourcing.
• Support the development and delivery of EIL’s marketing communications plan.
• Support the development of an advertising revenue stream on EIL’s website and e-communications, including researching pricing structures and developing sales materials.
• Assist with the planning and management of special events that support EIL’s fundraising and marketing initiatives.
• Assist in the development of marketing communications material, EIL’s website content (WordPress platform) and the organisation’s communication and social media channels to promote membership, our events, programs, and services.
• Support the development of publications for a variety of programs and/or membership segments.
• Assist with the development of and adherence to marketing & fundraising budgets, policies, and processes.
• Analyze data drawn from desktop market research or surveys as directed and draft reports on findings or results.
• Liaise with key members and potential members on marketing-related matters.

Marketing, Communication, & Fundraising Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in business development and fundraising.
• Experience and/or qualifications in marketing communications.
• Experience in coordinating and drafting proposals, funding submissions or bid/pitch documents and other documentation associated with fundraising in various forms.
• Demonstrated experience developing, managing and reporting on fundraising budgets.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good project management skills and experience.
• Good working knowledge of social media networks and website structures.
• Proficiency in MS Office, in particular, Word and Excel.

Financial Manager Responsibilities

Financial Manager Requirements

• FP&A, investment banking, business administration, or management consulting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.

• Excellent ability to problem solve along with solid analytical skills, understanding of business process and systems optimization.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting.

Operations Manager Responsibilities

Research Specialist Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of research developments and best practices for environmental solutions in technology both locally and internationally.
• Researching and Identifying technological solutions in water, IT, energy then developing projects and proposals on the same technology against Climate Change, improper use of natural resources and how to use these technological solutions to improve the quality of life for local communities and their economy.
• Formulating and conducting scientific experiments, performing data collection, and analyzing and evaluating test and research results. Then briefing management on latest developments and statistics in the respective findings in water, IT and energy technologies for Climate change.
• Choosing, developing and writing out the innovative projects in technology based on both local and international research that will have the most impact and improved quality on the livelihoods of people and natural resources in uganda especially in the field of water, IT and energy among others.
• Responding to research questions, troubleshooting problems, developing and writing advanced experimental protocols, and monitoring ongoing projects and proposing and implementing changes.
• Proposing techniques to improve research quality and team productivity.
• Contributing to and writing research findings for publications, papers, presentations, grants, and other documents.
• Assisting with grant and manuscript submissions.
• Guiding and training staff on respective developments and statistics in the environmental field and the like.

Research Specialist Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
• 3 years' research related experience.
• Knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, and methods.
