In: R.E.B.E.L.S.

the main man (earth-7)

Lobo is the last surviving member of the Velorpian race and the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter. Raised in the aftermath of a catastrophe that erased both his people and neighboring Czarnia, he grew into a ruthless mercenary whose name became synonymous with brutality, reliability, and destruction. Though he prides himself on being the one true Lobo, his repeated deaths and regenerations slowly chip away at the monster he insists on remaining, forcing him into an internal struggle between cruelty and the humanity he despises.

biography

Early Life

The Velorpians were one of the most advanced civilizations in the universe, renowned across the cosmos for their commitment to pacifism and diplomacy. Their society came to a sudden and catastrophic end during the event remembered as The Birth of the Doomed Progeny, which coincided with the neighboring world of Czarnia standing on the verge of assimilation by the Cooperative. That child of doom was Lobo.

Born into Velorpian high society, Lobo entered the world as tragedy struck. His mother died during childbirth and was eventually forgotten by history, while her son would become infamous throughout the galaxy as the Main Man. From the very first week of his life, he displayed terrifying violence, slaughtering three rotating medical teams assigned to care for him. The few survivors were left so psychologically scarred that they became the first Velorpians ever institutionalized for insanity.

Lobo's existence alone ignited a civil conflict over whether children younger than one year old could legally receive the death penalty. The debate escalated into catastrophe, ultimately driving one-third of Czarnia's population to commit mass suicide. By the time he reached only two months of age, Lobo had become the last surviving member of his race.

Growing up completely alone, without affection or guidance and surrounded only by hatred and the emptiness of space, Lobo embraced the only life that remained available to him. By the age of ten, he had already earned the reputation of being the highest-rated bounty hunter in the galaxy, establishing a legacy that would endure for decades.

the main man

Today, Lobo is recognized as the most expensive mercenary in the cosmos, feared for completing every contract with unmatched brutality, sadism, and absolute reliability. His reputation is built on a simple promise: he always finishes the job and never fails a client. According to those familiar with his work, there are only two ways to stop Lobo once he has accepted a contract—cancel it or offer a larger bounty.

He also insists that he is the one and only true Lobo, openly dismissing the younger vigilante who carries the same name as nothing more than an impostor. With his usual irreverence, he even claims to have attended the Great Orgy, the largest open-air group sex event in galactic history, joking that it is probably where "Lobo Jr." came from.

One of Lobo's most unusual traits is his regenerative immortality. Whenever his body is completely destroyed, an entirely new one forms in its place. However, every resurrection carries an unintended consequence: each new incarnation becomes slightly more empathetic, honorable, and compassionate than the last. Lobo despises this gradual change so intensely that he would rather remain dead than continue becoming someone capable of caring about others.

Despite his infamous reputation, Lobo is currently working alongside the R.E.B.E.L.S. after being recruited through a billionaire contact hired by Koriand'r, the lost princess of Tamaran. His mission is to escort her back to her homeworld and help overthrow the dictatorship imposed by her sister—a tyranny that Koriand'r herself only recently discovered had taken control of her planet.
