Biography 

Early Life

William Kaplan is the first-born child of Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan, respected doctors. He grew up with two younger siblings, including his brother Joshua. While his family eventually moved to Philadelphia, Billy struggled with the transition and with personal challenges at home—most notably the uncertainty surrounding his coming out as gay, which created tension within the household. Despite this, the family often traveled back to their hometown to reunite with relatives.

The Accident

Billy’s turning point came during a family trip for his brother Joshua’s Bar Mitzvah. Their car ride was violently interrupted when another vehicle lost control and veered into their path. Though the accident was severe, Billy was the only one injured, sustaining only minor wounds. 

Miraculously, he survived an impact that should have been fatal, an event that left him with the unshakable sense that fate—and something supernatural—was guiding him. This brush with death awakened in him a deeper curiosity, a lingering call toward the occult.

The Occult

Following his instincts, Billy was drawn to the Arthur Blackwood Municipal Library, a mysterious building hiding extensive collections of forbidden pagan tomes and occult books in its underground levels. Compelled by an inner drive, he immersed himself in the study of arcane rituals, focusing on Celtic traditions and even Asgardian rites. This obsession consumed him for weeks, with Billy practicing and experimenting in secret, driven by the feeling that destiny was steering him toward mastery of these ancient powers.

However, his journey into mysticism soon drew unwanted attention. Arthur Blackwood, leader of a dangerous cult, had been seeking a boy like Billy to sacrifice in exchange for greater paranormal power. Blackwood and his followers tracked Billy, attempting to claim him as their vessel for dark knowledge. Billy’s newly awakened mystical energy made him a target, and the cult saw him as the perfect key to their sinister ambitions.

Rescue

The cult’s attempt to capture Billy was foiled by Thor, the Mighty God of Thunder, accompanied by a group of Avengers. Channeling divine lightning, Thor dispersed the cult’s power and saved Billy from sacrifice. This event not only solidified Billy’s survival but also revealed his potential as a future hero. With his connection to ritual magic, his resilience in the face of trauma, and his growing understanding of mystical forces, Billy embraced his identity as Wiccan, stepping onto the path that would align him with the world’s greatest heroes.
