I earned my PhD in Kinesiology with a specialization Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Master's of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas.
I am an avid researcher in youth applied sport psychology topics. The main purpose of my scholarly agenda is to understand how coaches and sport psychology professionals develop positive relationships and work effectively with youth athletes. I believe that because young athletes are placed in pressure situations such as competition, we (e.g., sport psychology professionals, coaches, administrators, parents) have an obligation to teach young athletes skills and strategies to cope with that pressure.
