If you want a fully wireless, feature-packed everyday pair with adaptive noise cancelling, hi-res Bluetooth codecs and long battery life, choose EarFun Air Pro 4; if you need wired in-ear monitors that can also go wireless, with detachable cables and a musician-grade fit, choose MEE audio M6.
• EarFun Air Pro 4 — biggest trade-off: It's a sealed true-wireless design with a built-in battery, so there's no user-replaceable cable or battery — when it ages, it ages as a unit.
• MEE audio M6 — biggest strength: A true wired IEM at heart (5um diaphragm driver, detachable MMCX-style cables) that ships with a BT3 Bluetooth adapter for wireless use, so you get both worlds.
• MEE audio M6 — biggest trade-off: The Bluetooth experience is adapter-based, with roughly 14 hours per charge and Bluetooth 5 — fine, but not the seamless always-on wireless convenience of a true-wireless set.
• Who each is for: EarFun Air Pro 4 for commuters, travelers, call-heavy users and anyone who wants noise cancelling in a pocketable case. MEE audio M6 for musicians, monitoring-minded listeners and anyone who values a replaceable cable and a locked-in over-ear fit.
The EarFun Air Pro 4 is built around one idea: make the wireless experience as complete as possible. The headline is adaptive hybrid active noise cancelling rated up to 50dB, using QuietSmart 3.0 and an adaptive system that adjusts to your ear canal shape. In practice, that's the feature you notice on a plane, on a bus, or in a shared office — the earbuds are actively working to pull the rumble down before it reaches your ears. That's a different proposition from passive isolation, which only blocks what the eartip physically seals out.
Audio is where the spec sheet gets genuinely interesting. The QCC3091 chipset brings Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless, and the earbuds also support LDAC, LE Audio and LC3. That's a wide net of hi-fi codecs, and it means that if your phone supports one of them, you're likely to get a better-than-baseline stream rather than falling back to the lowest common denominator. The 10mm dynamic drivers and a 20Hz–20kHz range cover the usual listening territory, and the companion app's Sound Profile EQ lets you tune the response to taste. If you like shaping your own sound, that matters more than any single factory tuning.
Battery is the other pillar: up to 11 hours on a single charge, up to 52 hours with the USB-C case, and a 10-minute fast charge that adds up to 2 hours of playtime. A full charge takes about 2 hours. Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint means it can hold two devices at once — laptop and phone, for example — and Google Fast Pair smooths Android setup. Six microphones with AI algorithms and Qualcomm cVc 8.0 handle calls, with in-ear detection pausing playback when you remove an earbud.
Who should buy it: commuters, remote workers on calls all day, travelers, and anyone who wants one pair to do noise cancelling, hi-res streaming and multipoint without thinking about it. Who should skip it: people who want a cable they can replace when it wears out, or who already own wired IEMs they love and just want a wireless bridge — that's the M6's territory.
The MEE audio M6 PRO Combo Pack is a different philosophy entirely. At its core it's a wired in-ear monitor: a 10mm driver with a 5um diaphragm and aluminum voice coil, tuned for midrange accuracy and treble that stays smooth rather than harsh. The driver is described as a balanced armature type in the spec sheet, and the design intent is monitoring, mixing and general listening — "balanced sound, accurate to the recording" is the stated goal. If you've ever felt that mainstream earbuds over-boost bass at the expense of detail, this is the counter-argument.
The fit is the other half of the story. These are over-ear hook IEMs with flexible earhooks and a sliding cable cinch, which is exactly the kind of setup that stays put during movement. IPX5 sweat- and weather resistance backs that up. Crucially, the cables are detachable and replaceable — a genuine long-term advantage over any sealed true-wireless bud, because a frayed cable is a cheap fix rather than a dead product. The package is unusually generous: a stereo audio cable, a headset cable with mic and remote, Comply memory foam eartips, six sets of silicone eartips, a shirt clip, a ¼" adapter, a carrying case and a USB charging cable.
Then there's the wireless half. The included BT3 adapter turns the M6 into a Bluetooth headset with LDAC and the full Qualcomm aptX family, including aptX Lossless, plus Auracast support. Battery is up to 14 hours on a single charge, with Bluetooth multipoint and an integrated mic with controls for calls, volume and playback — including a dedicated mute button, which is a small but genuinely useful detail for video conferencing. Bluetooth range is quoted at 10 meters, and the adapter charges over USB.
Who should buy it: musicians, podcasters and audio folks who want an accurate monitor; anyone who prefers a cable most of the time but wants wireless sometimes; and people who want replaceable parts and a secure over-ear fit. Who should skip it: anyone who wants true-wireless convenience as the default, or who needs active noise cancelling — that's not what this product does.
• Best for active noise cancelling → EarFun Air Pro 4. Adaptive hybrid ANC up to 50dB vs. passive isolation only on the M6.
• Best for total battery life → EarFun Air Pro 4. Up to 52 hours with the case, against up to 14 hours per charge for the M6's Bluetooth adapter.
• Best for wired reliability and repairability → MEE audio M6. Detachable, replaceable cables; the EarFun's battery and cable are sealed in.
• Best for call quality features → EarFun Air Pro 4. Six mics with AI algorithms and Qualcomm cVc 8.0, plus in-ear detection.
• Best for a secure, movement-proof fit → MEE audio M6. Over-ear earhooks plus a sliding cable cinch and IPX5 rating.
• Best for hi-res codec flexibility → It's close, but EarFun Air Pro 4. Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless and LDAC on a true-wireless set is rarer than an adapter that supports the same codecs.
• Best for musicians and monitoring → MEE audio M6. A 5um diaphragm and aluminum voice coil tuned for midrange accuracy and natural treble.
• Best for one-pair-does-everything simplicity → EarFun Air Pro 4. No cables to swap, no adapter to charge separately.
If I had to pick one for the average person, I'd buy the EarFun Air Pro 4. In my opinion, adaptive ANC, multipoint, in-ear detection, six-mic calling and up to 52 hours of playtime simply cover more of daily life than any wired setup can, and the codec support means it won't bottleneck a good phone. That said, I'd point musicians and anyone who's been burned by a dead sealed battery toward the MEE audio M6 — the replaceable cables and monitoring-tuned driver are real advantages you can't retrofit onto a true-wireless bud. Different tools, different jobs. Check the current price on Amazon before you commit, since that's the one thing that can tip a close call.
Not universally. The EarFun wins on noise cancelling, battery life, calling and wireless convenience. The M6 wins on fit security, repairability and monitoring accuracy. It depends on whether you want wireless-first or wired-first.
No. The M6 relies on passive isolation from its eartips — including the included Comply memory foam tips — rather than active noise cancelling. The EarFun Air Pro 4 is the one with adaptive hybrid ANC rated up to 50dB.
Yes. It ships with the BT3 Bluetooth adapter supporting LDAC and the Qualcomm aptX family, with up to 14 hours per charge and Bluetooth multipoint. You get wired and wireless in one package.
The EarFun Air Pro 4: up to 11 hours per charge and up to 52 hours with the case, with a 10-minute quick charge adding up to 2 hours. The M6's Bluetooth adapter runs up to 14 hours per charge.
