These hubs are intended to serve as a space on campus for students, who may have childcare issues, are able to study on campus with their children. The space is not a daycare center and students must stay with their children at all times. The space is equipped with a customized desks, diversity books, a television, toys, and snacks for students. 

FREE VTA Eco Pass For Students

Each student that is currently enrolled at Evergreen Valley college is automatically entitled to a FREE VTA EcoPass. Please visit the Admissions & Records department to pick up your VTA pass.

EVC Student Loaner Laptop Program

In an effort to meet the demands of online and hybrid learning environments, Evergreen Valley College has instituted the EVC Student Loaner Laptop Program. This service is only available to EVC students enrolled in the 2024 Spring Semester who present a valid EVC Student Identification card. 

Please note that after you submit your request and have been determined eligible, a confirmation will be sent to you at the email address you provide below. 

Confirmation emails for the Spring 2024 Semester will be sent beginning January 16th. This confirmation email will be required in order to pick up a laptop.

The Evergreen Valley College Learning Resource Center (LRC) Open Computer Lab is the hub for the EVC community, helping you navigate the digital learning environment. Our experienced staff and tutors can assist you with troubleshooting, tutoring, or access to technology. 

You have free access to computers, internet, MS Office and scanning, and a user-paid student printing. All you need to use the lab is your student ID card to log in/out. (Get your student ID card in Admissions & Records)

The Nest

First Stop Center

The The First Stop Center is EVC's Welcome and Onboarding Center. The First Stop center can help you navigate the college system. We provide you with assistance and support with onboarding, educational pathways, special programs, and other campus resources.

We are currently offering in-person assistance in our office. You can opt to come into our office to get 1-on-1 assistance with registering for classes, creating the SJECCD Secure Login Portal and navigating Canvas.

Student Support Programs

We have a wide range of programs that support our diverse students and provide individualized support for a variety of needs. Student support programs on campus can help students financially and academically depending on the program!​

The ASPIRE (Asian/Pacific Islander Resources for Excellence) Program at Evergreen Valley College is designed to increase the academic and personal success of Asian/Pacific Islander students, utilizing the commitment and skills of faculty, staff, and mentors.

The CalWORKs Program is designed specifically for parents who want to pursue higher education.  CalWORKs (California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Kids) is a Program that helps student parents gain an Associates Degree or a Certificate while providing supportive services that enable you to be successful in college.

The Disabilities Support Program (DSP) is designed to provide accommodations and services to students with documented physical, psychological, and learning disabilities to participate in all aspects of the college community. 

EOPS

Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is intended to help students disadvantaged by social, economic, educational, or linguistic barriers get the resources needed to enroll and succeed at Evergreen Valley College. EOPS provides guidance and support in order to help students achieve their academic, career, and personal goals. EOPS participants have access to priority registration, comprehensive academic counseling, financial aid and scholarships, book vouchers, and more.  

ENLACE

Enlace, which began in 1983, is an academic program supported by counseling, tutoring, community mentoring, and student organizations. Enlace serves underrepresented Chican@/Latin@ students of San José and nearby communities. 

Foster Youth Programs and Services

Evergreen Valley College is dedicated to ensuring the success of current and former foster youth students. With direct support programs like NextUp and YESS-ILP (Youth Empowerment Strategies for Success) foster youth students will receive guidance and access to resources to ensure a positive college experience.  

OASISS

OSASISS stands for Outreach and Advocacy Services for Immigrant Student Success. The purpose of OASISS is to provide AB540/DREAMer students with the necessary tools and information to succeed in pursuing a higher education and professional career. 

Umoja-AFFIRM

As an academic program at Evergreen Valley College, Umoja-AFFIRM is designed to increase the retention, matriculation, and transfer of African American students. The Umoja-AFFIRM program, although specifically designed for African American students, also serves students who are not African American and who desire the nurturing services that are offered by the program.

Evergreen Valley College Veterans Freedom Center (VFC) is proud to provide a supportive learning environment where our vet students focus on academic success and guidance to achieve their academic goals. EVC Veteran students provide a community of support to fellow Veteran peers and a welcoming space. We provide a space for students to study, socialize, and hang-out with peers and access resources to enhance academic and personal success.
