Now What? Mastering the Art of Continuous Pivot

Overview

DATE: November 6-7, 2020
TIME: 8AM to 12NN HKT
FORMAT: Virtual Conference via Zoom Video

Your school is open, whether in-person, fully remote, or a hybrid. We are all navigating the ups and downs of enrollment, quarantines, school cleaning, social distancing, and capacity restrictions. And, even as we are fully occupied with the ongoing pandemic, the world around us keeps shifting: a new bi-polar order is emerging; resurgent nationalism and authoritarian leaders are threatening to remake the globalized economy. In the midst of what seems to be a perfect storm, determining what students need for success becomes more complex with every passing day.

Now what? What factors will shape the future and how will they play out in East and Southeast Asia? What does this all mean for international schools? How can we possibly keep ahead of the curve of events?

General Description

Since 1968, EARCOS has been leading and serving its member schools by providing a forum for the regular exchange of ideas and resources. While the COVID-19 pandemic and global travel restrictions challenge our ability to hold the marque conferences that usually provide the medium for such exchange, in November 2020 EARCOS is producing an 8-hour online event over two successive days to explore a curated collection of brave thinking and bold conversations around the theme of “Now What? Mastering the Art of Continuous Pivot.”

Experience EARCOS as never before. Interact with a different set of speakers. Gain insights from an array of perspectives on the current moment.

This fall, EARCOS comes to you. Join us from wherever you are on the mornings of 6-7 November for six original presentations, moderated by Marc Frankel and Abigail DeLessio of Triangle Associates, that explore the most consequential issues of the moment in terms of global relations, epidemiology, digital instruction, accelerating trends, changing work and workplaces, and more.

By registering in advance, you will be able to:

  • See the full program and speaker lineup;

  • Begin interacting with the conference moderators;

  • Access special, curated content and resources in advance of November;

  • Participate in live polling and Q&As during sessions; and

  • Make connections with other conference attendees.

The conference is free for EARCOS members to attend, but space is limited.
