If you want a durable, wired anchor for your existing Apple EarPods to keep them from falling out during high-impact movement, choose EARBUDi Only; if you need modern wireless freedom with active noise cancellation and long battery life specifically designed for sleeping in silence, choose Faifxo Earbuds. These two products serve fundamentally different purposes, and picking the wrong one means either carrying around dead weight or trying to sleep with uncomfortable plastic hooks. I have analyzed the specifications, design intent, and feature sets of both to help you make the final call without getting lost in marketing fluff.
• EARBUDi Only: Its biggest strength is the custom-bendable wire that locks standard Apple EarPods into place for intense sports; its trade-off is that it only works with those specific wired headphones and offers no sound enhancement of its own. This pick is for runners who refuse to buy new earbuds but hate their current ones slipping out.
• Faifxo Earbuds: Its biggest strength is the active noise cancellation (ANC) combined with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and a massive 60-hour total playtime; its trade-off is the reliance on a charging case and the lack of a physical wire to tether them to your device. This pick is for commuters, gym-goers, and sleepers who want to block out the world entirely.
The EARBUDi Only is not an earbud in the traditional sense; it is a retention system designed specifically for the classic Apple EarPods that ship with iPhones. If you are someone who owns a pair of these wired buds but finds they constantly pop out of your ears when you run, lift weights, or do aerobics, this product solves that mechanical failure point. The design relies on soft rubber loops with flexible wires inside that you can bend to match the unique contour of your ear. This creates a "forget it's there" support system that prevents the buds from jamming deep into your canal or creating sore spots from forced insertion.

This accessory is built for high-impact activities where sweat and motion are constant threats. It is ideal for the person who already has a working set of Apple EarPods sitting in a drawer and wants to turn them into sport-ready gear without spending money on a new pair of wireless headphones. However, you must skip this product if you are looking for wireless freedom, as it requires a 3.5mm jack connection and will not function with any Bluetooth or wireless earbuds.
It is also worth noting that the material is rubber, which makes it gentle on the skin even if you wear glasses. The goal here is purely stability. If you enjoy listening to music while running but dread the anxiety of your earbuds falling onto the pavement, this is a dedicated solution. But if you need features like touch controls, voice assistant integration, or the ability to switch between devices easily, this wired clip system will feel restrictive compared to modern wireless standards.
The Faifxo Earbuds represent a completely different category of audio experience, focusing on wireless convenience and environmental control. These are true wireless earbuds equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 technology, offering a stable connection within a 10-meter range and latency as low as 60ms. The standout feature for many users is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Unlike the passive isolation of the EARBUDi clips, the Faifxo system actively blocks ambient noise, making it a serious contender for anyone seeking the best noise cancelling wireless earbuds for sleeping. The ability to adjust four different noise-cancelling modes via the charging case allows you to tailor the silence to your environment, whether you are on a noisy commute or trying to drift off in a dorm room.
Battery life is another major factor where these excel. With a single charge providing up to 8 hours of playtime and the charging case adding four more full charges, you get a marathon 40-hour total playtime. A quick 10-minute charge can fuel two hours of use, which is perfect for early morning commutes or late-night gaming sessions. The IPX7 waterproof rating ensures they can handle sweat and light rain, making them suitable for intense workouts without fear of damage. The ergonomic design molds to the ear, and the inclusion of three sizes of silicone tips ensures a secure fit for various ear shapes, including smaller ears.
For the sleeper, the combination of ANC and the lightweight, discreet form factor is crucial. You do not want bulky over-ear headphones digging into your temples while lying on your side. These in-ear buds are designed to be barely-there, yet they provide a seal that helps block out snoring partners or street noise. The smart touchscreen case adds a layer of convenience, allowing you to change EQ modes, locate lost buds, or answer calls with a simple tap. However, the reliance on a charging case means you must remember to charge the case itself, and the wet-hand operation technology, while impressive, requires you to keep the screen clean for optimal performance.
• Best for sleeping → Faifxo Earbuds, due to Active Noise Cancellation and lightweight, side-sleeping friendly design.
• Best for existing Apple EarPods owners → EARBUDi Only, as it extends the life of your current wired buds without needing new hardware.
• Best for wireless freedom → Faifxo Earbuds, offering Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and no tangled wires.
• Best for high-intensity impact sports → EARBUDi Only, because the bendable wire hook physically locks the bud in place better than friction-fit earbuds.
• Best battery life → Faifxo Earbuds, delivering up to 40 hours total with quick-charge capabilities.
• Best for noise blocking → Faifxo Earbuds, using electronic ANC to silence the environment rather than just relying on a seal.
• Best value for budget-conscious buyers → EARBUDi Only, if you already own the compatible wired EarPods, as it is a low-cost upgrade.
• Best for multi-device compatibility → Faifxo Earbuds, fully compatible with both iPhone and Android systems, whereas EARBUDi is locked to Apple hardware.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally choose the Faifxo Earbuds for my daily life and specifically for sleeping. While the EARBUDi Only is a clever engineering solution for a very specific problem—keeping wired buds from falling out—it feels like a niche tool for a legacy product. The Faifxo Earbuds offer a modern, comprehensive audio experience that includes active noise cancellation, which is essential for blocking out the world when trying to fall asleep. The wireless nature removes all cable clutter, and the battery life ensures I never worry about power during long days. In my opinion, the investment in a dedicated wireless system with ANC provides significantly more utility and comfort for a wide range of scenarios than retrofitting old wired earbuds.
No, neither product is an over-ear headphone. The Faifxo Earbuds are in-ear buds with Active Noise Cancellation, which is generally superior for side sleepers because they sit flush against the head rather than protruding.
If you need to block out external noise like traffic or snoring, the Faifxo Earbuds with ANC are the clear choice. If you already own Apple EarPods and just need them to stay put, the EARBUDi Only is a functional add-on, but it lacks noise cancellation features.
Yes, the Faifxo Earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.4 and are fully compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones, unlike the EARBUDi Only which is strictly designed for Apple EarPods.
No, the EARBUDi Only is explicitly designed to snap onto the standard wired EarPods that come with iPhones. It will not work with any wireless or Bluetooth earbuds, including the AirPods series.
