Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies for Hearing Loss
Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies for Hearing Loss
Research Interests
Major research areas include:
Ototoxicity mechanisms, particularly cisplatin-induced cochlear hair cell damage and synaptic degeneration
Immune responses in the cochlea, including macrophage-mediated inflammation and immune cell activation
Systemic disease–associated hearing loss, with emphasis on metabolic disorders and systemic inflammation
Biomaterial-based drug delivery for the inner ear, focusing on targeted and sustained therapeutic strategies
Central neural mechanisms of hearing loss, including neural reorganization and cognitive decline
