Section 1: Standard Resources
Section 2: The Oblique Plane
Section 3: Axonometric Projection
These boards form the basis for many of my DCG resources. They can be used:
As Backdrops for many of my other resources
In orthographic projection: a teacher could use the two acrylic sheets like a whiteboard, creating a plan and elevation of physical 3D objects within the classroom.
In orthographic projection: Students could each have a panes bard of their own, (A4 or A5), and create orthographic sketches also. The boards are an excellent tool for formative assessment of student ability within graphics.
Below are STL files for the planes boards brackets , tailored for students and teachers with larger boards for the teacher models.
Teacher Files: Suited to 4.9mm Acrylic and A3
Student Files: Suited to 2.7mm Acrylic and A4 or A5
The SolidWorks Assembly can be opened as is or adapted to a specific question.
The resource is dynamic: Angle and position of the oblique plane can be altered.
The Physical resource includes STL files of the Pyramid, with magnet holes to allow for the resource to snap together. Also Available is the DXF file of an oblique plane, seen above as the luminous yellow acrylic
The video file flows through each of the orthographic and auxiliary views
These Include: The Principle axes part file, the Axonometric plane part file and the object seen above axonometric projection
These include the principle axes as an STL, two objects for placement on the axonometric axes, and the axonometric plane also as a solidworks part file.
The video cycles through each of the orthographic views as well as an isometric view.
