Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to make sure I reached out when I said I would. Today I will be going through each account and contacting you individually to send you your final account balance with the closure of the business and for anyone who signed up for unlimited this will include your refund amount.
I appreciate the kind words we have received very much and I was uplifted by the overall response. I am grateful to all of you and wish this had all worked out differently.
Anyway, again I will reach out over today and tomorrow to you individually as I review each account.

Hi Everyone,
I am very sad to send this email. My equipment has broken down again tonight and at this point the business has failed. I have been plowing with no heat and in a constant state of panic trying to fix equipment that has seen the end of its days. The harshness of this winter season has really taken a toll on it. I am out of funds to continue to repair and replace equipment. I understand we were not able to complete the season, although we did fulfill everyone's initial plan of 13 visits. Most everyone did end up upgrading to unlimited. This effort to save you money is part of what ended up bankrupting the business. Everyone who upgraded to any form of unlimited will receive a refund.
Here is what you can expect: within one week (more like 2-4 days) you will receive a communication letting you know exactly how much you will be refunded. Within 2-3 weeks you will receive a check or refund to your card. In the chance it is not in the full amount, you will receive the rest in another 2 weeks. All of my equipment will go up immediately for sale and will more than cover your refunds. Everyone's refund will be individualized to the amount of visits and many will receive full refunds if you have had only 13 visits. (Almost everyone is at 15 or more visits but two of which were complimentary around the holiday.) If you have had significantly more you may receive slight\ly less but will still receive what is due to you and I will provide you with the details of your visits this season when sending out your email with your stated refund amount this week.
Please know there are rumors out there that are far from true. I have always had every intention of completing the season for everyone. I have been to everyone's driveways 15 or more times this season (again two were complimentary around the holidays and will not be counted toward your total) and have spent countless hours fixing equipment due to the harsh nature of this winter. I have put my safety at risk and have taken a loss on every single driveway. I have literally made negative money the entire year. As it is, I do understand I did not complete what I offered you with the unlimited packages and that is why I am refunding them. I truly hope you can be patient and appreciate our efforts as our family has been through a difficult few weeks on top of failing equipment. A huge part of this is what transpired on social media. Please remember that the victims in that scenario are often not who you intend.
Thank you to everyone who has been understanding and I am very sorry to everyone who was counting on me to get through this season. I can't guarantee this, but I do understand that the Auroran Lawn and Landscape company/Snowblowing has offered to pick up all of my customers for free so if you haven't already found a replacement, you can contact them and mention their post on social media about free service for customers like you that need help getting through with the hopes of signing you up next year. This is very kind of them. I am still working on another repair but have not been able to get it up and going again and I cannot force it through any longer - there are parts that I have not been able to find readily available for my current equipment, it is giving out and I don't have the funds to purchase something new. Due to everything that recently occurred on social media, I wanted to be as proactive as possible with my communication.
If you know any of my other customers please make sure they get this message as I have been having trouble with my communication system and will be posting this update on the website as well continuing to communicate this week.
