LAWHON PTO VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The LAWHON PTO has a volunteer opportunity for everyone! We need helping hands to plan fundraisers and school events, keep track of budgets, communicate information to parents, chaperone field trips, oversee beautification projects, host teacher appreciation week, and much more! We’ll keep a running list of PTO volunteer opportunities here.

Before signing up to volunteer please complete VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) Registration: To volunteer at LAWHON for any school related activity you must be VIPS approved. You must register each year. 

There are two steps now required:

1. Complete an online application with our Frontline Recruit and Hire applicant-tracking system. Select the job opening for Volunteers 2025-2026, indicating the campus/campuses in which you plan to volunteer. If you are applying only as a Rise Mentor, you may indicate so in lieu of selecting a campus.

2. The review process could take up to 5-7 business days. Please act in a timely manner if you plan to attend an event on a certain date.

3. Once we approve your online application, your name will appear on the campus list you have designated. If necessary, you may contact the campus secretary to confirm your volunteer status.

4. Volunteers must re-apply each school year.

Once you have registered, please either sign up for the volunteer opportunity through the Sign Up Genius link in the post, or send your information to the email address listed in the post.
