Pick a planet - there are 8 recognised planets in the Solar System - can you name them? Do you know which one was demoted and no longer considered to be a planet? Pick of them and do some research to find out about it.
You could find out where the planet is in the Solar System (why is is called the Solar System?), how big it is, what it looks like (maybe do some art and make a picture of it), what is is made of, how many moons does it have or anything else you can think of.
Send me some pictures of your work and we can share it here.
Some fantastic home science from Blake here. Well done :-)
Here are some links to Food Chain clips on the BBC.
Here is a link (below) to some colourful science ideas.
I am not suggesting that you try all of these things at home, but you might want to have a go at any that you have the equipment for. Click on Colourful Science
Again BBC Bitesize is a good place to look for some Science lessons. The topics we would have been covered in school would have been "Forces" and "Plants". There are lessons on both that you could watch.
Grow your Own - I know many of you are growing the seeds that I sent you - send me your pictures and I will share them on this page.
Blake is ready for his pea seeds to spring to life.
A couple of weeks later and Blake's gardening efforts are paying off already - his eat peas, sweet peas, runner beans, carrots, tomatoes and peppers - are all growing well.
