If you want extreme brightness and a compact 5 3/4" footprint that fits older Harley and Indian models without any wiring mods, choose Eagle Lights 8900BG3; if you need a complete 7-inch system with integrated turn signals and superior heat management for modern touring bikes, choose Tugwuetlwu 7. This decision isn't about which light is cheaper or what the latest sales chart says; it comes down to whether your bike needs a direct replacement for a smaller housing or a full-face upgrade that includes signaling functionality. For those of us heading out on hunting trips where visibility in low-light forest conditions is non-negotiable, the difference between a focused beam and a wide, multi-function setup changes everything.
• Eagle Lights 8900BG3: Delivers massive 3315-lumen output in a tight 5 3/4" form factor with zero installation hassle, but lacks built-in turn signals and requires specific model compatibility.
• Tugwuetlwu 7: Offers a robust 4500-lumen high beam with integrated passing lights and turn signals plus active heat dissipation, though it demands a larger 7-inch mounting space.
• Who buys the Eagle Lights: Riders with classic 5 3/4" motorcycles who prioritize raw lumens and plug-and-play simplicity over extra lighting features.
• Who buys the Tugwuetlwu: Owners of larger touring bikes needing a complete front-end overhaul with signaling integration and better thermal stability.
The Eagle Lights 8900BG3 is engineered for riders who demand maximum illumination from a standard-sized housing. It pushes 3315 lumens of "night-melting" light through a dense array of wide-angle projection lenses. What makes this unit stand out is its ability to cast light far down the road while simultaneously illuminating the sides. If you are riding through treacherous terrain or dark backroads, that side-casting capability ensures you see obstacles before they become hazards. The design focuses entirely on performance within a confined 5 3/4" diameter, making it an ideal drop-in solution for Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles that originally came with this size.
Installation is where this headlight truly shines for the DIY rider. It utilizes a simple plug-and-play connection using the standard 3-prong H4 connector. There is no splicing of wires, no need to add resistors, and no external modules to hide under the tank. Everything required for high and low beam operation is housed inside the unit itself. You simply pull the old light, drop in the new one, and you are ready to go. This level of simplicity is rare in the aftermarket world and removes the biggest barrier to upgrading your bike's lighting.
However, this product is not for everyone. It is strictly limited to motorcycles with 5 3/4" headlight housings. If you have a newer touring bike or a custom build requiring a 7-inch lens, this unit will not fit. Furthermore, it does not include integrated turn signals or fog lights. You must rely on your existing indicators for signaling. If you are looking for a single unit that handles all front lighting duties, including signaling, this is not the right tool. But if your priority is pure, bright, easy-to-install performance for a compatible bike, the lifetime warranty and efficient battery draw make it a compelling choice.

The Tugwuetlwu 7 is designed as a comprehensive lighting system rather than just a bulb replacement. It targets owners of select Harley Road King, Electra Glide, Ultra Limited, Tri Glide Ultra, Heritage Softail Classic, and Softail Deluxe models. This kit replaces the entire front assembly with a sleek black finish that offers a modern aesthetic. The core strength here is the inclusion of two 4.5-inch passing lights that double as DOT-certified turn signals. This integration means you get a cleaner look and reduced wiring clutter since the signaling function is built directly into the auxiliary lights.
Performance-wise, this unit offers a dual-beam strategy with 4500 lumens on the high beam and 2600 lumens on the low beam. The color temperature sits at 6500K, producing a crisp cool white light that cuts through rain and fog effectively. Beyond just brightness, the engineering focuses on longevity. The housing is sealed aluminum with clear lenses designed to resist daily road exposure. Crucially, it features built-in breather valves. These valves allow the internal air to expand and contract with temperature changes, reducing moisture buildup and supporting stable heat dissipation. In long rides or humid environments, preventing internal condensation is vital for maintaining light output and protecting the electronics.
This system is heavier and bulkier than the Eagle Lights option, weighing in at just under one pound compared to the lighter 5 3/4" unit. It also requires a 7-inch mounting ring and comes with specific adapters to ensure a secure fit. If your motorcycle frame can accommodate the larger diameter and you value the convenience of having turn signals attached to the main light cluster, this is the superior choice. It is less about fitting a hole and more about transforming the front profile of the bike into a cohesive, high-performance package.
• Best for raw lumen density: Eagle Lights 8900BG3, with its 3315-lumen output packed into a smaller area.
• Best for total system integration: Tugwuetlwu 7, because it bundles headlights, passing lights, and turn signals into one purchase.
• Best for simple installation: Eagle Lights 8900BG3, due to the lack of wiring modifications or adapter harnesses needed for standard 5 3/4" models.
• Best for thermal management: Tugwuetlwu 7, thanks to its dedicated breather valves that actively manage internal moisture and heat.
• Best for wider coverage: Tugwuetlwu 7, as the combination of the main beam and two auxiliary passing lights creates a broader field of view.
• Best for classic bike restoration: Eagle Lights 8900BG3, specifically for retaining the original 5 3/4" look while gaining modern LED power.
• Best for touring durability: Tugwuetlwu 7, with its sealed aluminum construction designed for extended exposure to the elements.
• Best for signal clarity: Tugwuetlwu 7, offering SAE-compliant, DOT-certified turn signals integrated directly into the passing lights.
For my own setup, I would choose the Tugwuetlwu 7. While the Eagle Lights 8900BG3 is an incredible piece of hardware with unmatched brightness for its size, the Tugwuetlwu 7 offers a more complete solution for serious riding. The inclusion of integrated turn signals eliminates the need for separate indicator wiring, and the breather valve technology addresses a common failure point in sealed LED units. When I am planning a trip, especially for hunting in the woods, I need reliability and a wide field of view that extends beyond just the center line. The Tugwuetlwu 7 delivers that broader safety net with its auxiliary lights and superior heat resistance. If you are buying for a hunting trip, the added width and signaling integration of the 7-inch kit provide peace of mind that a single 5 3/4" bulb simply cannot match.

Yes, the Eagle Lights 8900BG3 produces 3315 lumens in a single unit, whereas the Tugwuetlwu 7 offers 4500 lumens on high but splits its light across a larger assembly. However, the Eagle Lights concentrates that power into a tighter 5 3/4" beam pattern.
No, the Tugwuetlwu 7 kit includes all necessary adapters and harnesses for a convenient replacement. The turn signals are integrated into the 4.5-inch passing lights, so you do not need to source separate indicators.
The Tugwuetlwu 7 is likely better suited for harsh weather due to its sealed aluminum housing and built-in breather valves that prevent internal moisture accumulation during temperature swings.
No, the Eagle Lights 8900BG3 is strictly designed for 5 3/4" headlight housings. Attempting to force it into a 7-inch mount would not work and could damage the bike.
