EC-STM

The EAEG group is equipped with a Wandelt-type EC-STM. It is a very versatile technique and we employ it to characterise electrocatalytic reactions at the solid/electrolyte interface. Particular attention is dedicated to ORR, aiming to "visualize" the process on metal porphyrin-modified substrates in acidic acqueous environment.

Other types of investigations covered by our EC-STM concern ionic liquids, metal dichalcogenides, corrosion and metal clusters. We own different substrates on which STM can be successfully conducted, e.g., Pt, Au, Cu, Ag and HOPG.
