Q: I did not participate in the pre-submission mentoring phase. Can I still submit to the main deadline?

A: Yes, you can submit. The deadline is 27th November 2020.


Q: I did not fill the START Global Profile before 20th September 2020. Can I still submit?

A: Yes! The 20th September deadline is for the EACL main conference. You can still submit to the EACL SRW. The deadline is 27th November 2020.


Q: Who can submit to SRW?

A: SRW welcomes submissions of papers that have students as the first author. *ANY* student is allowed to submit to SRW, including undergraduate, masters, junior and senior PhD students.


Q: Where should papers be submitted?

A: Please submit papers on the START conference system here: https://www.softconf.com/eacl2021/SRW/.

The deadline is 27th November 2020.


Q: Can a paper accepted at another venue be submitted to SRW?

A: If the paper has been accepted in an archival venue, you CANNOT submit it to SRW.

If the paper is in a non-archival form (e.g. course reports, theses, non-archival workshops, or preprint servers such as arXiv.org), you may submit to SRW. You are required to indicate the previous presentation in your submission.


Q: Double submission: where should it be mentioned that the paper will be submitted to other conference for reviewing?

A: Please declare double submissions on the submission page while uploading the paper.

Double submission to the EACL SRW and the main EACL conference/other EACL workshops is prohibited.


Q: If the student is graduating before the submission deadline, can they still submit to SRW?

A: If the bulk of the work was done when the author was a student, it is acceptable to submit to SRW.


Q: Can I change my paper after submitting?

A: You may edit your draft as many times as you want before the deadline.
