Equipment Used

Optical Tube Assemblies:

• Sky-Watcher Explorer 130P-DS. Typically used with a combination 0.9x focal reducer and coma corrector, which gives a focal ratio of f/4.5. Ideal for viewing deep sky objects.
• Sky-Watcher Skymax 127, with a focal ratio of f/11.81. Ideally suited for planetary targets and double stars.

Mount:

• Sky-Watcher Star Discovery Alt/Az GOTO mount. Can be used with both optical tube assemblies.

Cameras:

• ASI ZWO 1600MC: Primarily used for live stacking when imaging deep sky objects and also for imaging the Moon.
• ASI ZWO 178MC: Used for higher frame-rate near real time video astronomy, planetary imaging, star imaging and imaging of smaller deep sky objects.

Software:

• SharpCap Pro for snapshot imaging and live stacking.
• RawTherapee and Fitswork4 for image debayering and processing.
• RegiStax 6 for video capture stacking (planetary imaging).
• Planetarium: Stellarium
