E-Receipt ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by Dcee Burner, is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring complete confidentiality over your store's business operations.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled within the E-Receipt: Smart POS mobile application (the "Application").
E-Receipt is engineered as an offline-first local application. We do not operate external servers for this application, nor do we collect, harvest, upload, or transmit any of your personal, business, customer, or transactional data.
Local Storage Only: All business records, inventory catalogs, product details, stock levels, sales transaction histories, store profiles, tax settings, and customer names are stored strictly on your device's local memory (internal database).
No Cloud Transmissions: Your data never leaves your physical phone or tablet unless you manually export or share a document yourself.
No Tracking or Analytics: We do not embed third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or background telemetry services that track your app usage.
To provide essential Point-of-Sale features, the Application requests access to specific device hardware features. These permissions are used exclusively on your local device at the moment of feature execution:
Camera Access: Used solely to scan barcodes and SKUs for fast product search and inventory management. Camera data is processed live on-device and is never stored as media or transmitted.
Bluetooth Access: Used to search for, pair with, and send print commands directly to external Bluetooth thermal printers (58mm/80mm) for printing physical receipts.
Storage / Media Access: Required to save generated PDF receipts, sales analytics summaries, and CSV report exports to your device's local storage so you can access or manage them.
The Application allows you to send digital receipts to customers via external messaging applications (such as WhatsApp, SMS, or Email):
System Intents: When you choose to send a digital receipt via WhatsApp or SMS, E-Receipt uses native Android system handlers to pass formatted receipt text to the messaging app of your choice.
No Direct Third-Party Access: E-Receipt does not directly interact with your contacts, message logs, or WhatsApp account history. All sending actions are explicitly initiated and controlled by you.
No Account Creation Required: E-Receipt does not require you to register, sign up, or create a user account. You can use all core Point-of-Sale features immediately upon installation.
Data Control & Deletion: Because all store data resides on your phone, you maintain total ownership and control over your records. You can modify or clear products, stock levels, and sales history inside the app settings at any time. Uninstalling the Application or clearing the app data in your Android device settings permanently erases all locally stored records.
Because your data remains on your physical device, the security of your store information relies primarily on your device's built-in security features. We recommend keeping your Android device secured with a PIN, screen lock, or biometric protection to prevent unauthorized access to your local POS database.
E-Receipt is a commercial Point-of-Sale utility designed for business owners, shop managers, and cashiers. It is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app capabilities or legal standards. Any updates will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the Application indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
