ASSESSMENT:
Explain the following questions:
1. What is your idea of non-test?
My understanding of non-test form of assessment is that it was a tool/instrument used by teachers to examine student capacity, knowledge, learned skill, affective, and also competence that they could use in their practical living and real life scenario. This assessment may necessitate not just one phase of the student domain, but also another, such as the emotional domain. Students can use this type of examination to apply a range of skills, which may also help them grow holistically. Some of the non-tests need a result and a product, and the student will think critically, produce imaginatively, and use skills that are required for the defined exam. Also, when the instructor used this exam, it was extremely beneficial to understand and instantly grasp the facts regarding the student behaviour. It enables the instructor to readily identify what is lacking, the needs of the pupils, and the students' strengths.
2. What is your insight about the 21st century skills of learners?
Learners' 21st Skills is one of the most important attributes that everyone should have in order to cope with the constant changes that occur in our world. These sorts of abilities are critical when it comes to learning. It helps each learner become a more literate citizen with the values of responsibility and caring for one another. With these skills, one's capacity to acquire knowledge and understand in a correct and accurate manner is enhanced. Having these kinds of skills also helps students identify solutions to solve difficulties and queries in a convenient and easy way.
In current century, where everyone is focused on using technology, this ability may serve to improve the needs of the people by allowing them to produce something out of these tools (technology). Learners' 21st century abilities are the new face of a trait that may have a beneficial impact on the learner's life and even their chosen vocation. These abilities were more than simply abilities; they were excellent abilities that could provide a wide range of learning as well as the potential to cultivate a decent character. Now it was group work, and it not only focused on individual, but it also had a large impact on everyone who cooperated and collaborated in growing and cultivating the skill.
3.What is the impact of these 21st century skills to learners?
For me, it has a significant influence on every student, especially because we live in an information era when technology is one of the instruments used in teaching and learning. These abilities offer children with the most correct foundation for acquiring vital knowledge and comprehension during their learning process. It enables students to successfully comprehend the material that a teacher provides, as well as to use this skill to explore more and go beyond what is required of them in terms of acting and performing. It assures and motivates them to succeed in this environment where they can genuinely invent something, become more resourceful, and find new and fantastic ideas that can assist individuals, themselves, and, most importantly, the community. Students are now being trained to become more globally competitive, so that they may take initiative in producing and working on something that would result in meaningful learning on their side. Even in a just micro effort they could actually create a unique thing where it could be resulted to a macro effect.
As they gain this skill, they will be civically active, critically think, technologically literate, internationally aware, and notably a good communicator to everyone. It was now a collective influence that affected not only individuals but also everyone who was ready to participate and work as one community.
4. What is your understanding about the transversal competencies?
Transversal Competence is one of the skill that may should possessed by one person. This skill assists anyone in being ready and holistically prepared for all of the obstacles and issues that might be encountered in life, particularly in a chosen vocation. As each learner gains this competence, they become more competitive and prepared to handle today's global reality. It is simple for a pupil to complete the items and standards that are necessary in any tasks and works that they will be assigned. Now that we live in a global world, transversal competence aids in the development of awareness and understanding about the responsibility of their professional growth. They can obtain a better grasp of their present job situation as well as realistic career routes that they can potentially reach as they mature and comprehend their strengths and the social network to which they belong. Through we are now constructing the hope of our nation, where we see this generation trying to build and make a real impact in our society. Since a result, it is critical to instil and develop competency in all learners, as this will aid in their personal and societal success.
Reflection:
One of the general goals of the teaching and learning process at the time was to help students/learners become better equipped and ready to confront life's realities. The easiest method to explain this notion is practicality. As I learned in this topic, it is critical for teachers to encourage students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-life situations. Evaluation does not require students to offer a precise answer or to respond to an objective sort of assessment. In this age of teaching and learning, when our society is always changing, education must focus on allowing students to explore and demonstrate what they have truly learned and acquired during the learning process. They should have been provided an opportunity to express and share their understanding in a meaningful way by participating in a performance assignment or any other genuine task in which they may offer their all.
Now, in the modern era of learning, it is critical that a teacher emphasizes the skills that students should develop. These talents are more practically answered and assist students in achieving their desired career and dream job. I recognize that I need to produce students who are capable of meeting today's demands and who are adaptable enough to pursue many career paths. Providing them with a talent that they may put to good use in their future lives when they begin to cope with reality and some of the challenges that they may experience on their route to achieving their life objectives. As an educator, it is not my duty to select what profession and career they should have in the future; nevertheless, as their second parents, it is my role to guide and scaffold them as they choose the greatest career route for them to go along. Delivering a 21st-century talent to children now can have a greater influence on their learning process as well as their future lives. Because this expertise is in high demand in the world today, it will undoubtedly assist them in pursuing the good future and job of their dreams. This things may bring our society to become more globally and internationally competitive. As students and future citizens of the country, they have the potential to have a significant effect on our society. That is why a teacher must show them the road to a brighter future for themselves and our society.
