Minerals

Minerals are the building blocks of all of our rocks as we know today. Minerals are formed from materials called elements. These elements combine together under various circumstances and create rocks. And because of the various combinations of these elements, we have multiple rock formations.

Elements are, in chemistry, refers to a simple substance that cannot be broken down into smaller parts or changed into another substance. The basic part of an element is an atom, which contains protons, neutrons, and electrons. All atoms of an element have the same number of protons. The elements go through multiple reactions to form multiple substances and create material.
