Thank you for visiting my e-portfolio! This platform showcases my growth journey during my Master's degree program.
My name is Ruth Saavedra; In 2014, I graduated from Kean University, New Jersey, with a Bachelor's in Mathematical Science. I finished the alternative route at Rutgers University New Jersey in 2022. At the same time, I was doing the Master's in TESOL Teaching as a Second Language at Grand Canyon University. I graduated in January 2023.
I was a Bilingual Class Support in Math and LAL from grades 3 to 8 at Elizabeth Public Schools, New Jersey, in 2019; as an educator, I have been working for about 14 years (including my experience in tutoring people from grades K-12 and Adults in other fields) personal assistant and the substitute teacher. In 2022, I started working in Newark, New Jersey, and I am a fourth-grade Bilingual Teacher; as a teacher, I must ensure that e occurs in a safe, open, and supportive environment so that students develop essential aspects of fostering positive relationships with others. Also, as a teacher responsibility is to ensure all students are given a well-rounded education to build a future that will be prosperous.
I am excited to continue my educational journey toward becoming a licensed administrator. As a school administrator, I will foster a positive and supportive environment where teachers feel confident in their abilities to impact student achievement, which is essential for teacher morale, retention, collaboration, growth, and development.
