Overview

E-Magnet ("the Extension") is a free email scraping tool for Google Chrome. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Data We Collect

The Extension collects only email addresses found on web pages you visit while using it. Specifically:

• Email addresses found in the visible text of the current page

No other data is collected. The Extension does not collect your name, location, browsing history, passwords, or any other personal information.

How Data Is Stored

All scraped email addresses are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any external server, database, or third party.

How Data Is Used

Email addresses are collected and stored solely for your personal use — to build a list of contacts you have chosen to look up. The Extension does not analyze, process, sell, share, or transmit any collected data.

When Data Is Accessed

The Extension only scans a page when you explicitly click the "Load My Email List" button inside the popup. It does not run in the background, monitor your browsing activity, or access any tab you have not actively chosen to scan.

Third-Party Services

The Extension contains a link to an affiliated Chrome Web Store listing and a link to Ko-fi (a third-party support platform). Clicking these links will take you to external websites governed by their own privacy policies. The Extension itself does not share any data with these services.

Data Retention & Deletion

Scraped emails are stored in your browser until you uninstall the Extension or clear Chrome's local extension storage. You can remove all stored data at any time by uninstalling the Extension via chrome://extensions.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this document.
