This Privacy Policy describes how the E-ink Launcher ("the App") handles your information. The E-ink Launcher is designed with a "Privacy First" and "Digital Detox" philosophy. We believe that your data should stay on your device.
1. Information Collection and Use
The E-ink Launcher DOES NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics or Firebase) to track your behavior.
No Advertisements: The app is completely ad-free and does not include any ad-tracking SDKs.
2. Android Permissions
To function as a launcher, the App requires certain permissions. Here is how we use them:
Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): This is required to show you the list of apps installed on your device so you can launch them. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded.
Home Screen Selection: The App asks to be set as your default launcher to provide the minimalist E-ink experience. This is a system-level integration.
3. Data Storage
All your personalization settings (DIY modes, favorite apps, typography settings, and dark mode preferences) are stored locally on your device using your phone's internal storage. We do not have servers, and we cannot access your settings.
4. Third-Party Services
The App does not link to any third-party services or websites that collect your data.
5. Security
We value your trust in providing us your information. However, since no personal information is collected or transmitted by the App, there is no risk of your data being leaked from our "servers" (which do not exist).
6. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
