Graduate Student Learning Community for Inclusive Teaching - I was one of the founding organizers of this seminar which meets monthly to discuss strategies for making our classes more equitable and inclusive.
First Course Initiative - I was a graduate student representative on this team which is revising the Calculus 1. Our goal is to make the course more accessible for all students by improving student support and incorporating alternative forms of assessment such as mastery-based assessment.
Practice Teaching Facilitator - I led training sessions for university's Center for Research on Teaching and Learning in which participants deliver mock lessons and receive feedback on their teaching strategies. I have facilitated these sessions in multiple contexts including:
Graduate Student Instructor Orientation
Postdoctoral Short Course on Teaching in STEM
Let's Talk About Teaching - I was an organizer for this lunch discussion series which provides an opportunity for instructors to chat informally about teaching and receive ideas from their colleagues.
