This privacy policy explains how E-Attendance Nepal ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, protects, and discloses your personal data when you use our mobile application, as well as the choices you have regarding that data. 

1. Information Collection and Use 

The App operates primarily offline. We collect the following types of information strictly for local app functionality:

• Student Data: Names, Roll Numbers, Dates of Birth, Addresses, and Parent Contact Numbers.

• Attendance Data: Daily presence, absence, or leave records. All data is stored locally on your device via SQLite. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

2. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing 

The App does not share data with third-party advertisers or analytics companies.

• WhatsApp Integration: If you use the "Notify Absentees" feature, the App will open WhatsApp and pass a pre-written message containing the student's name and status. This happens only upon your explicit action.

3. Data Retention and Deletion
Since E-Attendance Nepal is a local-first application and does not transmit or store your personal information or student details on our external servers, we do not maintain any database to delete your data remotely.

All your data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all of your data at any time by taking any of the following actions:

• Inside the App: Delete individual tenant records, payment history, or house details directly within the app interface.

• Phone Settings: Go to your Android device’s Settings > Apps > E-Attendance Nepal > Storage and click "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage" to wipe all local records.

• Uninstall: Uninstalling the Smart Gharbeti application from your device will automatically delete all stored local data

4. Children's Privacy 

While this App handles data of students (who may be under 13), the App is designed to be used by Teachers and School Administrators, not by the children themselves. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children under 13.

5. Security 

We value your trust in providing us with your data. Since data is stored locally on your device, we strongly recommend keeping your device secured with a screen lock (PIN, Password, or Biometrics).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy 

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
