In line with the implementation of Republic Act 10533 Enhance Basic Education act of 2013 or the K12 act. San Miguel National High School started the Senior high Program on the school year 2016-2017 with two tracks, the Technical Vocational Livelihood Track and Humanities and Social Sciences Track. With the help and support of DEPED La Carlota and through the efforts of our very own School Principal Dr. Erle P. Arbado together with the Senior High School Teachers who were mostly hybrid on the Junior High department. San Miguel National High School was able to come up with the essential package laboratory for the TVL track specializing in bread and pastry production, and we are proud that we were able to achieve a 100% passing rate during our first TESDA National Certification. Since then, we have been a proud home for TESDA NC2 passers-by, because of different chances in the TVL tracks namely: Bread and Pastry Production, Food and Beverage Services, House Keeping Services and the most recent Nail Care Services. Our Humanities and Social Sciences Track has been an active supporter and partner to various Social Education Programs both school base and even to our neighboring communities. San Miguel National High School has been an active partner to different business establishments, work industries and government agencies during our school immersion program and with the dynamic team of full pledged Senior High School Educators under the leadership of our new OIC School Principal Dr. Lumina V. Rumbines, we the Senior High School Department continues to hone future professionals equipping them with the best quality education coupled with high qualities enhanced trainings and inculcating them with DEPED Core Values which will make them globally competent and responsible citizens of our country.

In school year 1998 – 1999, the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) approved the nationalization of Doña Hortencia Salas Benedicto NHS - La Granja Extension. Concurrently, La Granja NHS – Yubo Extension opened at Yubo Elementary School campus, and started to serve forty-nine freshmen composed of twenty-four males, and twenty-five females merged in one class. The three pioneering faculty members. The school is currently served by nine permanent junior high school teachers, six permanent senior high school teachers, two locally-funded faculty members, one administrative assistant, and two support staff particularly for the school maintenance, order and security. The school currently offers complete Junior High School (JHS) classes from Grade 7 to 10 and Academic Track - Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand for Senior High School (SHS).
