Job Description


Job Title: Statistical and Research Analyst II


Full Time or Part Time: Full time


Job Purpose


The candidate will assist the Principal Investigator and co-Investigators with data entry, data processing and management, and statistical analysis of neuroimaging data for studies being conducted in the Department of Neuroscience. The candidate will work on research studies that focus on substance use disorders, brain development, and aging and dementia. The candidate will not be directly involved in the collection of data but will be involved in data analysis and will assist with reporting findings for scientific dissemination and reporting to federal agencies.


Additional Knowledge, skill, ability preferred:


Experience with analysis of data from neuroimaging or psychology studies is preferred. Working knowledge of statistics is preferred.

Guideline and Supervision:


The candidate reports directly to the Principal Investigator


Job Duties -List job duties and provide the percentage based on that breakdown. Must Equal 100%

· (5%) trains other research personnel and students in neuroimaging analysis tasks

· (5%) prepares reports for the research team to be used in publications or progress reports

· (10%) Enters data into a computerized database and helps manage ongoing organization of research data files.

· (10%) Downloads, uploads and enters data to and from publicly available data repositories

· (35%) conducts data processing and management tasks such as transferring and converting data, quality control, preprocessing of neuroimaging data

· (35%) conducts statistical analyses of neuroimaging and behavioral data
