Overview

DynoFigures ("the app") is a vehicle performance measurement tool that uses your device's GPS to estimate engine horsepower and torque. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Data We Collect

Location / GPS Data

The app requests access to your device's precise location (GPS) solely to measure vehicle speed during a dyno pull. Specifically, the app reads:

• GPS speed (in m/s) — used to calculate acceleration, horsepower, and torque

• GPS speed accuracy — used to indicate signal quality in the UI

• GPS horizontal accuracy — used as a fallback signal quality indicator

The app does not record, store, or transmit your geographic coordinates (latitude or longitude) at any point.

Location data is used only in real-time during an active measurement session. It is not retained after the session ends.

Vehicle Data

Vehicle profiles you create (make, model, weight, tire size, transmission, etc.) are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. This data never leaves your device.

Dyno Run Results

Measurement results (horsepower, torque, data points) that you choose to save are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. This data never leaves your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers

• We do not collect geographic location coordinates

• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs

• We do not transmit any data to external servers or third parties

• We do not use cloud storage or backups

Data Storage

All app data (vehicle profiles and saved runs) is stored in your device's private app storage using Android's internal file storage (MODE_PRIVATE). This data is:

• Only accessible to the app itself

• Automatically deleted when you uninstall the app

• Never shared with any third party

Permissions

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - Measure GPS speed with the highest available accuracy

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION - Required alongside fine location by the Android platform

These permissions are used exclusively for real-time speed measurement. The app does not use them for any other purpose.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
